Visiting Bide-a-Wee Cottage Gardens
We look forward to welcoming you to Bide-A-Wee Cottage Gardens and Nursery. Below you will find all the important information you need to plan your visit.
Important information for visitors:
- We are open to the public from mid April until the end of August each year.
- Normal visiting times are between 1.30pm and 5pm on Wednesday and Saturdays.
- Booking is NOT required for individuals, couples or small family sized groups of visitors.
- However, Groups do need to pre-book and should complete our Group booking form.
- Please note dogs are not permitted except Guide Dogs.
Bide-a-Wee Cottage Garden admission charge
Bide-A-Wee Cottage is a non profit making Garden and so we make a small charge for admission to the grounds which is used to develop the Gardens for future visitors.
Directions to Bide-A-Wee Cottage
Bide-A-Wee Cottage is in Stanton near Netherwitton, in the Morpeth area of Northumberland. Our postcode for your satellite navigation system is NE65 8PR. You can use the control on the map below to zoom in/out.
Exit the A1 for Morpeth travelling through Morpeth town centre. Head north on the A192 for 1.5 miles passing a Jet garage on the right hand side.
Follow the road under the A1 road bridge and take the first left, sign posted to Pigdon, Stanton and Netherwitton.
Follow this road for 6 miles, going through Pigdon. Travel for 3 miles beyond Pigdon to a junction with a grass island and a red postbox. turn right, sign posted to Stanton and Beacon Hill, travel up the the narrow road for 1 mile going up a steep hill.
At the brow of the hill you will see a signpost for Berryhill. Park here on the level grass verge to the left. The entrance to the garden is on the right hand side.
